Our stuff
Is that I.T.
I.T. GEEKS and NERDS, we love the I.T. Crowd. Fortunately Fremantle commissioned Skew to design an asset pack for their hit t.v show.
The humour, graphics and aesthetics of the show made this a very enjoyable job to work on.
Stuff we like
-
Chalky Talk
Skew are huge fans of typography, especially when it’s this big and beautiful. Dana Tanamachi is a graphic designer and custom chalk letterer living in Brooklyn, New York, we think her work is exquisite
-
Wooden you love to have thought of this one...
Aye Aye Captain# Designer and maker Mark Giglio has crafted this simple idea. Pencil Pirate is not only a practical visual pun but a beautiful piece of art.

Sarah May
Sarah May’s set design for the new American Apparel campaign. Completely different approach to their existing campaigns focusing on colour. Interesting to see these set designs without any models, using the products to form great images.
-
Monster Munch, yum yum yum
Roaaaar, a bright fright indeed. We love the acid yellow against the neutrals in this print. Plus the simplicity of an image that exudes such personality. Ricemon and Riceroar are definitely our new best friends

Happy Days
The palette, the lettering, the characters and the circus feel of this illustration by Nate Williams make our hearts positively sing! What a lovely way to herald the start of the weekend – and what a beautiful life it is, indeed.

Doggy Biscuits
Thanks to one of our latest projects – designing the packaging for the new Grand Designs product line (see more, left!) – we’re well into crockery. And as an aside, we’re especially interested in tableware for kids. We reckon that Jimbobart is on to something, with his winning combination of scary-looking animals uttering very human pleas or statements. Best of all? They can appeal to adults too.

Fill in the Blanks
For those parents wanting to keep their kids occupied, papering a bedroom with Jon Burgerman’s busy wallpaper is the answer. Both highly populated with mad, magic monsters and devoid of all colour, all you need do is provide them with a kaleidoscopic box of pencils and away they go!

Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fashion!
Despite graduation being just a year behind her, Trine Lindegaard is impressing everyone from Vauxhall Fashion Scout to Vogue to Skew with her colourful menswear line. Commenting that the menswear silhouette is restrictive, Lindegaard says her challenge lies in creating detailing that excites. The boys in the studio are the lucky ones! We’re hoping the unisex line she’s considering comes to fruition soon…

Bags of Light
Unusual looking, environmentally-led design is something that always gets us going, and the Bagalight collection is both such things. From desk lamps to pendants, these lights cleverly combine a product that designers Liqui say ‘normally wouldn’t be considered to have any real value’ with simple cutouts of different types of lighting. Their beauty lies not only in the soft glow they emit, but in their being made entirely of cardboard and paper, and taking only energy-saving bulbs. A true spark of genius.
